Welcome to Porto!

We’ll start by picking you up from Porto Airport from 13:00 and heading to the Truck. The Truck will be parked on Maceda’s beach – a stunning surf spot surrounded by a 10 km stretch of pine tree forest.

Once there we’ll do a short briefing, introduce you to your new home on wheels for the week and show you the uniqueness and curiosities of the Truck.

After that, we’ll jump in for our first surf session together (the beach is right at our doorstep so we don’t need to go far) and enjoy a bit of music plus a sunset dinner in front of the ocean.

Wake up to the sound of the waves and start the day with an early surf session in our backyard!

Then, relax post-surf in the lounge area in front of the Truck with views over the beach.

Afterward, we’ll lunch in a local fresh food market, check out the nearby fishing villages or skate different trails along the forest. We’ll also discover nearby surf breaks together with our guides and surf coaches and go for a second sunset surf session wherever we find the best waves for your level.

Still feel like being more active during the day?

You could even go horse riding on the beach and forest or enjoy a bike tour (optional experiences).

After a breakfast buffet (with beachfront views) and an early surf somewhere between Maceda and Porto, we’ll hit the road and head towards Porto’s historical centre for lunch next to Douro River (as the Truck is packed for the next location – Póvoa de Varzim).

At this point, you can try the famous Port Wine, the best Pastel de Nata known to mankind and discover the charming streets of Porto and its bridges.

Finally, we’ll drive north to Póvoa de Varzim – a picturesque fishing and ocean resort city. The Truck will be parked on top of a private beach in a stunning natural area with sand dunes and different surf peaks for all levels (plus… no crowds!). Afterward, we’ll finish the day with a sunset surf or swim.

Start the day with a peaceful yoga session and warm up for another epic surf. We’ll then have breakfast and drive to one of the surf spots in the area (of which there are 10).

If you’re still ready to explore in the afternoon, we can either skate in Esposende or enjoy a boat ride or SUP on the river (optional experience).

Then, more surfing and a sunset BBQ at the Truck before settling in for the evening to review your surf clips from the day and provide detailed insights to improve your surf skills (surf video analysis).

Next stop? Viana do Castelo!

Located further north, it’s here the Green Coast becomes even more breathtaking with dramatic mountains and waves that’ll get you stoked to surf. Once there we can enjoy a long surf session in the morning and have lunch right at the beach. We’ll also admire Viana do Castelo city, the Lima River and the surrounding mountains plus some of the surf breaks we sampled earlier from our favourite viewpoint – Santa Luzia’s Sanctuary.

Finally, it’s on to Paçô beach where we’ll meet the Truck and observe it as it transforms into your accommodation for the night. Afterwards, we’ll go sunset slacklining, listen to music and have a relaxed dinner.

Note that if you feel like taking a break from surfing there heaps of other experiences in the area, such as wakeboarding, boat trips, horseback riding, bike tours or even a relaxing massage on the beach (optional experiences).

It’s time to explore the surf spots around Vila Praia de Âncora, check out the mountains and the stunning waterfalls nearby and go for a swim in natural pools.

A sunset surf might be on the cards if you’re keen. We’ll then have dinner at a charming local restaurant.

For our last day we’ll have a cruisy morning or enjoy an easy surf session to finish the trip.

At breakfast we can go over the videos and photos that we’ve taken together. We’ll then take you to the drop-off location in Viana do Castelo bus station (between 8:00 – 13:00).
